Job summary

Unison Group in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Data Business Analyst to translate business requirements into data products across SAP and non-SAP environments.

You will model data, ensure data quality, and collaborate with Business, IT, Functional, Technical and Data Engineering teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or Looker, while mentoring junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Data Analyst / Data Business Analyst in SAP and Non-SAP environments.
• Strong skills in data modelling, data mapping, ETL, and data quality.
• Hands-on SQL, Python, or R; exposure to Azure data services.

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst / Data Business Analyst with strong expertise across SAP and Non-SAP data environments, data modelling, data quality, and cloud-based data platforms. The role will work closely with Business, IT, Functional, Technical, and Data Engineering teams to translate business requirements into high-quality data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for Data Engineers and support the development of data products.
• Define, establish, and validate data quality standards across ETL processes, systems, and data products.
• Collaborate with Business, IT Functional, Technical, and Data Engineering teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Analyze complex SAP and Non-SAP datasets to support data modelling, transformation, and analytics requirements.
• Develop and validate data mappings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to data quality standards.
• Verify the correctness and usability of data products across various business and technical requirements.
• Develop data collection, transformation, and automation workflows using cloud services and analytics tools.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to generate meaningful business insights and recommendations.
• Develop and support analytical dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Work with stakeholders to translate technical data concepts into clear business insights and actionable outcomes.
• Mentor junior analysts on data analysis, data modelling, analytics best practices, and coding standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes, governance, quality, and analytics capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Professional experience in Data Analysis / Business Analysis with demonstrated expertise in both SAP and Non-SAP environments.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data mapping, ETL processes, and data quality.
• Hands-on or working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and related cloud data services.
• Strong experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Ability to work with large and complex datasets and derive meaningful business insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and technical concepts into business language.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Machine Learning, AI, and advanced predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with Azure-based cloud data platforms and modern data architecture.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality frameworks, metadata, and data standards.
• Experience in validating data products against governance, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in the Manufacturing industry in roles such as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Data Consultant.
• Experience working with SAP data, business processes, and manufacturing-related datasets.
• Exposure to modern data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud analytics ecosystems.
