Job summary

Sembridge is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, modernization, and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms, with a strong focus on Snowflake.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on Snowflake expertise and hold a valid Snowflake certification, along with architecture leadership and strong client-facing skills. This role requires collaboration across data engineering, analytics, and governance teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture/Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake is mandatory.
• Valid Snowflake certification is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Python, data modeling, and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with dbt and modern data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and data governance/security.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable, production-grade data platforms.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and modernize enterprise Snowflake data architectures.
• Define data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, security, and analytics architecture.
• Work with Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streams, Tasks, dbt, and modern orchestration tools.
• Design cloud-based lakehouse and real-time data solutions across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Drive performance, cost optimization, security, governance, and observability.
• Lead client workshops, architecture reviews, presentations, and technical roadmaps.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and contribute to architecture, POCs, troubleshooting, and implementation.
