Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Data Architect in Pune, India to shape the data architecture vision across the organization. You will lead enterprise data architecture initiatives, define standards, and ensure data needs align with analytics goals.

You will own data lineage, mentor data engineers, and collaborate with data teams on lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse platforms, leveraging Spark, SQL, Python, and major cloud offerings (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Data Architect in large-scale data initiatives.
• Expertise in data architecture, modelling, and modern platform design.
• Hands-on in public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with MDM and metadata management.
• Experience with Data Mesh, data lakes, data warehouses, Lakehouse.
• Proficient in Spark, SQL, Python, and data ingestion.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-wide data architecture vision and roadmap.
• Design and implement data architectures aligning to business needs.

Job description

• Create Data Architecture vision covering all Data & Analytics components, enterprise-wide baseline and target data architectures.
• Support in Data & Analytics solutions and product development as Data architect in terms of Data architecture, standards, best practices, assets and frameworks.
• Responsible for the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture, ensuring current and future business data and analytical needs.
• Be the custodian of enterprise-wide data lineage from source to target and be able to deep dive vertically when required.
• Develop holistic roadmap of Data architecture change initiatives across Organization, lead from the front to consolidate data requirements across different initiatives.
• Mentor and provide technical oversight to Data Solution Architects, Data Engineers in creating data products to Business adhering to the data architecture and governance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in data and analytics, with a strong track record as a Data Architect on large-scale and Big Data initiatives.
• Deep expertise in data architecture practises, data modelling, and modern data platform design and databricks.
• Hands‑on exposure to public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with master data management, metadata management.
• Hands‑on experience with Data Mesh, data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Proficiency in Spark, SQL, Python, data ingestion techniques.
• Good to have experience in SAP Data & Analytics solutions.
