Job summary

Recro in Bengaluru is seeking a Data & AI Architect to define and deliver a target data and AI architecture on Azure, connecting underwriting, claims, delegated authority data within a governed, high-performing framework.

You will design an enterprise-grade cloud-native data platform (data lake, data warehouse, delta lakehouses) and AI assets supporting predictive, analytical, generative, and agentic AI use cases across the insurance value chain.

Qualifications

• Strong data modelling and master data management capabilities.
• APIs and event-driven architectures experience.
• Cloud-native design on Azure data platforms.
• Familiarity with Lloyd’s regulatory standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve an enterprise-grade Azure data & AI platform.

About the Role

We are seeking a Data & AI Architect to define and deliver a target data and AI architecture on Azure. You will play a pivotal role in powering our digital transformation, connecting underwriting, claims, delegated authority, and exposure data within a governed, high-performing framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture Strategy: Design and evolve an enterprise-grade, cloud-native Azure data & AI platform (data lake, data warehouse, delta lakehouses).


• AI & Automation: Design AI-enabling data assets to support predictive, analytical, generative, and agentic AI use cases across the insurance value chain.


• Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with product owners, data scientists, and engineers to build solutions and mentor technical talent.


• Governance & Compliance: Ensure architectures are secure, explainable, and compliant with Lloyd’s and FCA regulatory standards.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Data Architecture: Strong data modelling, master data management, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native design.


• AI/ML Tooling: MLOps (MLflow, Azure ML), LLMOps (LangChain, Vector DBs, RAG), and Agentic AI frameworks (CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGen).


• Domain Experience: Specialty Insurance / Reinsurance / London Market experience preferred.


• Desirable: Lloyd’s initiatives (CDR, DDM, Blueprint Two), Azure/AI certifications, and Data Mesh experience.
