Philips is seeking a Data Architect in Bengaluru to design and implement cloud-native data architectures on AWS, enabling serviceability analytics and predictive insights. You will build scalable pipelines using Glue, Lambda, S3 and Athena, and define robust ingestion, transformation, and storage workflows.
The role requires 8+ years of experience in data architecture, strong Python/SQL skills, and a solid understanding of data governance, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Data Architect
Collaborates with the scrum team to finalize the design of user stories, ensuring they align with the overall architecture and development goals, and takes part in code reviews and maintaining code quality.
Provides continuous guidance and coaching to the scrum team on design knowledge and best practices, and might participate in code development activities to uphold high standards of software quality.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of software development and design principles, which enables effective problem-solving and innovative solutions within the development team.
Engages with team-level stakeholders, including Senior Software Architects and the Product Owners, to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Focuses on the integration and functionality of components within the larger system architecture, ensuring that each part contributes effectively to the overall system performance.
Plans Program Increments (PI) with a typical time horizon of three months, which involves detailed scheduling, resource allocation, and strategic progress towards achieving development targets.
Holds responsibility for architecture and requirements at the feature level, ensuring they meet the desired outcomes, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations within the broader project context.
Ensures comprehensive, up-to-date, and usable documentation of the software architecture in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational processes.
Understands and effectively applies the development logic of the I2M architecture and platform creation process, ensuring seamless interfacing with Application Development (AD) and Product Data Lifecycle Management (PDLM) suites.
Key Responsibilties
Minimum required Education:
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Statistical Techniques, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum required Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience with Bachelor's in areas such as Software Development, Software Design and Architecture, Testing and Quality Assurance or equivalent
