ExxonMobil India Careers is seeking a Data Architect to design, implement, and manage the organization’s data architecture. You will ensure data integrity, scalability and security across pipelines and data models.

The role requires 10+ years in data processing/analytics, with Snowflake, Azure data tools, and governance expertise. Collaboration with engineers and business teams is essential, along with a drive to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/IT or related engineering disciplines.
• 10+ years of experience with data processing/analytics, ETL data transformation.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, C++, F#, Java.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases; SQL optimization.
• Experience with Snowflake, Qlik Replicate, Fivetran, Azure Data Explorer.
• Azure cloud experience (ADX, ADF, Databricks).
• Expertise with Airflow, Qlik, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory.
• Snowflake management through DBT scripting.
• Strong data governance, data management, and data curation knowledge.
• Ability to engage with business customers and agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise-level data architecture (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, data integration strategies.
• Establish data governance frameworks and ensure privacy compliance.
• Optimize database performance, storage, and data retrieval for high availability.

What Role You Will Play In Our Team

The Data Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s data architecture to ensure data integrity, scalability, and security. This role involves creating data models, defining data standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to align data strategies with business objectives.

What You Will Do

Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain enterprise-level data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

Data Integration & Management: Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration strategies for structured and unstructured data sources.

Governance & Compliance: Establish data governance frameworks, ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.), and maintain data quality standards.

Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance, storage, and retrieval processes for high availability and scalability.

Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies for data management and analytics.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university in Computer/IT other relevant engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience with data processing / analytics, and ETL data transformation. Proficient in ingesting data to/from Snowflake, Azure storage account.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C#, C++, F#, Java.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of SQL query development and optimization.
• Demonstrated experience Snowflake, Qlik Replicate, Fivetran, Azure Data Explorer.
• Cloud azure experience (current/future) used (ADX, ADF, Databricks).
• Expertise with Airflow, Qlik, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory.
• Management of Snowflake through DBT scripting.
• Solid understanding of data strategies, including data management, data curation, and data governance.
• Ability to quickly build relationships and credibility with business customers and agile teams.
• A passion for learning about and experimenting with new technologies.
• Confidence in creating and delivering technical presentations and training.
• Excellent organization and planning skills

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

• Experience with Airtable platform is a plus
• Working knowledge of Azure Databricks
• Working knowledge of various data storage technologies
• Working knowledge of big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, MongoDB, Kafka, HDFS, YARM, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Containers Technologies (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes)
