Job summary

Capco in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our analytics practice. You will collect, clean, and interpret data from multiple sources to support decision making.

The role requires strong SQL, data visualization skills, and the ability to translate complex findings for senior stakeholders. With 5–7 years of experience in financial services, you will collaborate with SMEs to deliver data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
• Preferred experience in financial services or a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of reporting packages and databases (SQL).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik).
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets using statistical techniques, software tools, and available AI technology
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in these complex data sets
• Work closely with SMEs to prioritize business and information needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions
• Create and maintain documentation for design, requirements, and user manuals for data projects
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management
• Communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders clearly

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets using statistical techniques, software tools, and available AI technology
• Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in these complex data sets
• Working closely with SMEs to prioritize business and information needs
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions
• Creating and maintaining documentation that includes the design, requirements, and user manuals for new and existing data projects
• Preparing reports and presentations for various stakeholders, including senior management
• Communicating complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Qualifications:

• Preferred degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
• Preferred experience in the financial services industry or a similar highly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases (SQL, etc.), and automation tools (Alteryx)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Qlik, PowerBI etc.)
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, test, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
