Job description

About the Role as Data Analyst

As a Business and data Analyst, you will play a strategic role in delivering AI-powered Experience Orchestration that transforms post-purchase digital experiences for Cisco’s customers, partners, and sellers. You’ll be a critical bridge between business strategy and technical execution in the initiatives that harness the power of artificial intelligence, data automation, and marketing automation technologies to create personalized, scalable, and seamless experiences across Cisco product adoption, renewals, and growth.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to integrate and operationalize diverse, high-quality data sources—including, but not limited to, customer profiles, install base, telemetry, and feedback. This data, governed by strict regulatory standards, enables intelligent automation and insight-driven decisions that power immersive digital experiences for Cisco customers. Your contributions will directly drive improvements in customer satisfaction, increase recurring revenue, reduce operational costs, and enhance sales effectiveness—delivering meaningful business value for Cisco and its partners.

  • Analyze and interpret datasets using advanced statistical techniques to extract meaningful trends and actionable insights.
  • Provide data intelligence through generation of complex reports and analyses from multiple cross-functional sources to substantiate business decisions and recommendations.
  • Design, build, and maintain ongoing reports and dashboards to empower business and technical stakeholders with timely information.
  • Collaborate with business and Engineering teams to understand persona-specific use cases and consolidate requirements for scalable analytic solutions.
  • Assist business functions with data analysis for business/value case development for key strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, product managers, and executives, to deliver high-impact analytic insights.
  • Define and implement data privacy and protection processes, ensuring compliance and safeguarding data across workflows.
  • Work with Data Custodians/Stewards and other roles to improve data quality, accessibility, and value for the organization.
  • Assess and validate new data sources and data gathering techniques to enhance business intelligence capabilities.
  • Support the creation of business requirements and technical documentation, translating business needs into data-driven technical solutions.
  • Model internal business processes and data flow, identifying critical components that affect functionality and system performance.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies as needed and help create user stories and tasks for the engineering teams.
  • Leverage automation and analytics to measure, monitor, and improve the efficiency of digital initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience working with large datasets, data analytics, and ETL processing.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in SQL (proficiency required).
  • Experience with Python or R, and data warehousing technologies.
  • Experience working with AI/ML models or pipelines.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in machine learning pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with data privacy and security best practices.
  • Experience presenting to senior management and working with executive stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation, AI/ML, or intelligent automation technologies is a plus.
