Job summary

Barclays seeks a Data Analyst in Pune to lead the evolution of our data infrastructure and deployment pipelines, enabling data-driven decisions and scalable, secure solutions.

You will work across data integration, engineering and analytics, applying advanced analytics and reporting to inform business strategy while supporting risk controls and the SDLC.

Qualifications

  • Experience in data integration, engineering and analytics.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks and DBT.
  • Knowledge of payments domain and requirements analysis with SDLC delivery.
  • Familiar with cloud concepts and AWS.
  • Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of machine learning basics.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and analyze data quality, lineage, controls, and source data; document findings and suggest improvements.
  • Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Apply advanced analytics to large datasets to uncover trends and translate insights into actionable business recommendations leveraging ML/AI when appropriate.
  • Translate analytical findings into business recommendations to drive operational improvements.
  • Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports, and automate reporting for stakeholders.

You will harness cutting‑edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions.

To be successful as a Data Analyst, you should have experience with:

• Data Integration, Engineering and Analytics

• Python, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks and DBT

• Payments Functional Domain knowledge

• Requirements analysis and software development lifecycle delivery

• Cloud computing concepts and AWS

The role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To enable data‑driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualisations and reports.

Accountabilities
  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
  • Through data‑driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
  • Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad‑hoc stakeholder needs.
