Job summary

TopGear Consultants Pvt Ltd. seeks a Data Analyst in Mumbai to drive data-led decision making across the business. You will deliver analyses, insights, and scorecards for leadership teams, translating complex challenges into actionable recommendations.

The role requires hands-on work with Python, SQL, Azure, and DataBricks, supporting high-priority initiatives in credit, collections, customer behavior, risk analytics, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, information systems, analytics, or engineering; MBA is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in banking/finance.
• Strong knowledge of data science tools: SQL, Python, Azure, PySpark, DataBricks, Tableau/Power BI.

Role & responsibilities :

The Data Analyst will drive dataled decisionmaking across by delivering impactful business analyses, insights, scorecards for leadership teams. This role requires strong analytical thinking, handson expertise in Data Bricks, Python, SQL, Azure and the ability to convert raw data into clear, actionable recommendations. The analyst will support highpriority initiatives across credit, collections, customer behaviour, risk analytics, and operational efficiency

• Act as the specialist for the Data Science vertical driving strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with business managers and stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into data-driven solutions that deliver measurable impact.
• Lead interactions with client teams, including conducting interviews, gathering requirements, and overseeing data collection and processing to ensure quality and relevance.
• Oversee the design, validation, and deployment of AI/ML models that address critical business needs, ensuring scalability, robustness, and compliance.
• Maintain hands-on expertise with modern Data Science tools (Python, Azure ML, etc.), while fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the team.
• Apply advanced AI/ML techniques including Decision Trees, Boosted Trees, Random Forests, Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, Deep Neural Networks, and advanced regression methods to solve complex data problems.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Bachelors/master's in computer science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent. MBA is a plus.
• 2 -4 years of overall experience Data Analytics. Preferable in Banking/Finance industry

• Knowledge of key Data Science tools like: SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikitlearn), Azure, PySpark, DataBricks, Tableau/Power BI, use of Gen AI tool.
