Job summary

Anaplan Inc is seeking an Infrastructure Capacity Data Analyst to build data models, dashboards, and forecasting for cloud and on‑prem infrastructure. You will deliver data-driven insights to engineering and leadership for capacity decisions and optimization.

5+ years in analytics with Power BI and SQL, plus experience in SaaS environments and cloud/on‑prem monitoring. Strong communication and collaboration across teams are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data analytics/DAX experience in a SaaS environment.
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and Power Query (M Code) for data transformation and cleansing.
• Experience with Power BI dashboards and data visualization.
• Understanding of Capacity Management & Planning scenarios and tooling.
• Experience with Agile principles and SaaS products.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust Power BI dashboards to track infrastructure utilization, capacity limits, and system performance KPIs.
• Query and blend data from disparate technical sources to create a single source of truth for capacity data.
• Apply predictive forecasting to analyze historical usage and forecast future resource demands.
• Translate complex infrastructure metrics into executive-friendly reports and visuals to justify cloud spend and optimization strategies.

Your impact

The Infrastructure Capacity Data Analyst builds data models, dashboards, and predictive forecasting models to transform raw infrastructure metrics into actionable business intelligence. Leveraging strong data visualization expertise (specifically Power BI), you will build the automated reporting, forecasting models, and dashboards that allow engineering and leadership teams to make data-driven infrastructure decisions for both cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.

You will also ensure we have enough resources to meet current and future Platform demand efficiently, involving forecasting needs, capacity planning, monitoring performance (KPIs), managing risks (shortages/overloads), and developing strategies for optimization.

You will :

• Design, build, and maintain robust Power BI dashboards to track infrastructure utilization , capacity limits, and system performance KPIs .
• Data Insights: Query and blend data from disparate technical sources (cloud billing, system monitoring tools, APIs) to create a single source of truth for capacity data.
• Predictive Forecasting: Analyze historical usage trends and apply statistical methods to forecast future resource demands and flag potential capacity shortages or overloads before they impact users.
• Translate complex infrastructure metrics into clear, executive-friendly reports and visualizations to help justify cloud spend and optimization strategies.

Your skills and experience

We work with a broad range of technologies, and we don’t expect you to know everything on day one. You’ll have time to learn our tools and grow into the role. We're looking for diverse experiences to help strengthen our team.

• 5+ years of data analytics/DAX experience as a Data Analyst, Power BI Developer, or Business Intelligence Analyst, ideally in a SaaS environment
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and Power Query (M Code) for data transformation and cleansing.
• Exception
• A degree in computing or science is helpful but not essential
• Understanding of current Capacity Management & Planning scenarios and tooling.
• Experience with Agile principles and practices.
• Experience supporting SaaS products.
• Experience and awareness of both cloud and on prem infrastructure practices
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring best practices.
• Experience operating within one or more public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
