As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role insupporting Asia data modernization, IBOR/ABOR initiatives, and enterpriseanalytics. You will partner closely with Investment, Finance, Risk, andTechnology teams to analyze complex datasets, define data requirements, andtranslate business needs into well ‑ governed, analytics ‑ ready data products.
This is a senior, business ‑ facing analytics role,requiring strong domain knowledge in asset management, a solid understanding ofinvestment data (transactions, positions, valuations), and the ability toengage confidently with senior stakeholders. You will help replicate and extendkey skill sets currently anchored in the team, enabling continuity and scalefor Asia ‑ focused initiatives.
Your objective is to improve decision ‑ making, data transparency, and operational efficiency by ensuringhigh ‑ quality, reconciled, and well ‑ understood data isavailable for reporting, analytics, and regulatory use cases.
Analyze and interpret complex investment and accounting datasets (transactions,positions, cash, valuations) across asset classes.
Support Asia IBORand ABOR initiatives, including data reconciliation, validation, andreadiness for downstream reporting.
Partner with investment stakeholders to understand workflows, painpoints, and analytical needs.
Define and document data requirements, business rules, andanalytical logic for enterprise data products.
Contribute to data governance artifacts, including datadictionaries, lineage, and quality checks.
Work closely with Business Team, Data Platform and Engineeringteams to ensure analytical requirements are accurately implemented.
Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams,translating analytical needs into clear, actionable inputs.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI developers, and Product Ownersto support self ‑ serve analytics and standardizedreporting.
Participate in requirements elicitation, backlog refinement, andsolution reviews.
Support and validate datasets used in Power BI and enterprisereporting.
Perform root ‑ cause analysis, reconciliations,and exception reviews to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Enable power users with clear, trusted data for decision ‑ making.
8+ years of experience in data analytics within asset management, investmentoperations, or financial services .
Strong understanding of investment data domains including:
Trades / Transactions
Positions & holdings
Valuations, cash flows, andaccounting data (IBOR / ABOR concepts)
CFA designation preferred, or currently pursuing CFA.
Experience working with front ‑ office, middle ‑ office, or finance stakeholders.
Strong Excel, SQL and Python skills and experience analyzing datain Snowflake or similar data platforms.
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
Experience with data reconciliation, data quality checks, andgovernance frameworks.
Exposure to AI/LLM ‑ based data solutions is a plus.
Prior experience with Big4 or similar consulting background is astrong advantage.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complexdata concepts to non ‑ technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, ComputerScience, or a related field.
