Sr. Analyst, Data Analytics (C12) – Analytics & Information Management (AIM), Gurugram
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Analyst for our Data/Information Management Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of analytical solutions to support key business objectives for Banking Operations & Analytics as part of the COO (Chief Operating Office). This role requires a strong analyst with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights and fostering a data‑driven culture.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and recommendations to various departments and management, explaining complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Support Business Execution activities for the Chief Operating Officer by implementing analytical solutions to manage banking operations such as spend and utilization insights with contextualized metrics.
- Act as the interface between business and technology partners for digitizing data collection, including performance generation and validation rules for banking operations. Provide technical guidance and support in areas such as knowledge graph development, data extraction, and other technical aspects related to business execution and analytics.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data from various sources, clean it, and analyze it to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business operations.
- Report Generation: Design, develop, and maintain regular and ad‑hoc reports for different stakeholders, presenting key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and financial data in an understandable format.
- Automation Development: Identify manual, repetitive tasks and processes within the organization and develop automated solutions to streamline them, using scripting and automation tools/technologies such as SQL, SAS, Python, PySpark, and Tableau.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies and recommend improvements, often leveraging automation to achieve these.
- Dashboard Creation: Develop interactive dashboards using reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, Power BI) to provide real‑time visibility into performance and trends.
- Documentation: Document data requirements, data collection/processing/cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, including process automation/optimization and data visualization techniques.
- Data Governance and Quality: Contribute to efforts to maintain data quality, consistency, and adherence to data governance policies.
- Data Handling: Work with large, complex, and unstructured data to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies.

- Data Manipulation & Querying: Expertly query and manipulate data from various sources (using SQL, Python, R), ensuring data quality and readiness for analysis and reporting.
- Reporting & Visualization Tools: Expert in using reporting and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) to design, develop, and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports that clearly communicate performance and insights.
- Automation Technologies & Scripting: Strong capability in identifying automation opportunities, developing and implementing automated solutions using automation tools and scripting languages, and optimizing existing automated workflows.
- Problem‑Solving: Proactively identify issues and develop practical, value‑driven solutions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Reporting & Automation, Data/Information Management Analyst roles with proficiency in business intelligence tools/technologies such as SQL, SAS, Python, PySpark, Tableau.
- Ability to develop scripts for automating routine tasks (e.g., Python scripting for file processing, API integrations).
- Experience demonstrating a strong track record in developing reports, performing data analysis, and implementing automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of reporting and automation data & analytics ecosystem, establishing a scalable analytics framework – data strategy, process optimization, actionable insights, visualization techniques.
- Experience in developing and deploying AI solutions in partnership with technology and business.
- Experience with banking operations (e.g., expense analytics, movement of funds, cash flow management, fraud analytics, ROI). Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.
- AI/Gen AI proficiency and thought leadership in financial/business analysis and/or operational risk analysis with the ability to impact key business drivers.
Education
- Bachelor’s or University degree in STEM. Master’s degree preferred.
