Job summary

Visa is seeking a BI&A Analyst in Bengaluru to turn large data sets into actionable insights for GTMS. You will own analytics, develop dashboards, and deliver executive reports daily, monthly and quarterly.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, strong data visualization skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners across time zones. On-site presence is expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of relevant experience or higher degrees with equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in building dashboards and analytics for GTMS or similar units.
• Strong data visualization skills with Tableau/Power BI and data storytelling ability.

Responsibilities

• Own analytic function for GTMS business and performance metrics (periodic and ad hoc).
• Develop and maintain executive reporting suites (daily, monthly, quarterly).
• Create dashboards for GTMS metrics: sales data, client care, and CRM metrics.
• Identify data quality issues and coordinate with data owners to resolve them.
• Present analytic deliverables to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
• Distill large data from multiple sources into efficient data repositories in a big data environment.

Functional Summary

The CS Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A) team has a simple mission: we turn massive amounts of data into robust tools and actionable insights that drive business value and provide best in class experience to our clients, internally and externally. Our team works to support Go to Market Services (GTMS) teams by building consolidated, strategic and scalable operational and analytics infrastructure for Visa core products, value added services, and internal processes.

Responsibilities

The Analyst will be responsible for owning the analytic function for GTMS business and performance metrics, both periodic and ad hoc. Specific activities may include:

• Become the subject expert on all things related to GTMS business reporting
• Own data and processes for daily, monthly, and quarterly executive reporting suites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
• Coordinate across product and metric owners to define key metrics and follow-up on any outliers or deviations
• Create and maintain performance and monitoring dashboards around internal GTMS business metrics, including sales data, client care case performance, and CRM metrics
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies and data quality issues
• Serve as a liaison to strategic business partners to understand their needs and propose and build fit for purpose solutions
• Perform periodic and ad hoc end-to-end analyses to identify operational and business opportunities to drive Best in Class performance
• Work with stakeholders to understand the root problems, define analytical objectives and formalize data requirements for various types of dashboards and analyses
• Design and launch robust and intuitive Tableau and Power BI dashboards supporting best in class money movement client experience
• Create and present analytic deliverables to colleagues in the analytics team, other internal stakeholders with varying degrees of analytical and technical expertise
• Distill massive amounts of data across disparate data sources into efficient functional data repositories in a Big Data environment
• Independently perform analysis to derive insights and render robust, thoughtful results
• Develop presentations of complex data and content for clients and stakeholders in an accurate, understandable, and engaging manner

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 1 year of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 2 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Understanding of payments and operational client care functions
• Able to utilize AI tools without losing the "human touch" and domain expertise
• Expert proficiency in data visualization including Tableau, Power BI, and PowerPoint
• Big Data skills including SQL and ETL experience
• Functional knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, and/or Shell Scripting to support automation and data cleansing
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP/CRM tools
• Proficiency manipulating data from a variety of sources - Big data skills (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) and/or SQL skills required. Able to 'talk data' with technology partners
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to summarize complex topics into easy to understand pieces
• Proficient in all MS Office applications
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Ability to interact and manage stakeholders globally and across time-zones
• Visa experience or knowledge of the payments industry
