Job summary

PollMine Analytics is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Leadership & Operations team. The role focuses on electoral data, field surveys, GIS mapping, and constituency analytics to deliver insights for campaigns.

You will work with SQL, Python/R, and BI tools to build dashboards and support decision-making across strategy and operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of data analytics experience.
• Strong SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and data analysis skills.
• Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R proficiency.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Knowledge of QGIS or ArcGIS is advantageous.
• Understanding of statistics and data visualization.
• Familiarity with NLP, sentiment analysis, or ML is a bonus.
• Experience with surveys (KoboToolbox, ODK, Google Forms, SurveyMonkey).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and manage electoral rolls, booth-level voter data, demographics, survey data, and constituency datasets.
• Clean, validate, transform, and segment large datasets using SQL, Excel, Python, or R.
• Perform booth, ward, village, and constituency-level data analysis.
• Design and analyze field surveys and voter sentiment research.
• Develop GIS maps, constituency heatmaps, spatial clusters, and geographic analysis with QGIS or ArcGIS.
• Analyze public data to identify trends and sentiment.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Prepare daily/weekly analytical reports for senior leadership and campaign teams.
• Collaborate with strategy, field, digital, and operations teams to convert data into insights.

Job Summary

PollMine Analytics is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Leadership & Operations team. The candidate will work on electoral data, field surveys, demographic datasets, GIS mapping, voter sentiment analysis, and constituency-level analytics to generate actionable insights for political campaigns and constituency operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and manage electoral rolls, booth-level voter data, demographic data, survey data, and constituency datasets.
• Clean, validate, transform, and segment large datasets using SQL, Excel, Python, or R.
• Perform booth, ward, village, and constituency-level data analysis.
• Design and analyze field surveys and voter sentiment research.
• Validate field data and identify data-quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
• Develop GIS maps, constituency heatmaps, spatial clusters, and geographic analysis using QGIS or ArcGIS.
• Analyze relevant public digital and survey-based data to identify emerging issues, trends, and sentiment.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Prepare daily/weekly analytical reports and data-driven briefs for senior leadership and campaign teams.
• Work closely with strategy, field, digital, and operations teams to convert data into actionable insights.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Knowledge of QGIS or ArcGIS is highly preferred.
• Understanding of statistics, data visualization, and exploratory data analysis.
• Basic knowledge of NLP, sentiment analysis, or machine learning is an advantage.
• Experience with survey platforms such as KoboToolbox, ODK, Google Forms, or SurveyMonkey is a plus.
• Knowledge of APIs, web scraping, or data pipelines will be an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

Experience

1+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, market research, political consulting, public policy, research, or a related field.

Candidates with experience in electoral analytics, political campaigns, field research, GIS, survey analysis, or public policy will be preferred.

Language Skills
