Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Solution Architect – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) to join an established Microsoft Dynamics consultancy specialising in enterprise ERP solutions.

This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with extensive hands‑on experience in D365 F&O development, technical architecture, and solution design. You will be responsible for designing scalable technical solutions, guiding development teams, ensuring high-quality code, and supporting successful end‑to‑end implementations.

The ideal candidate will combine strong development expertise with a deep understanding of D365 F&O architecture, system integrations, database technologies, and Microsoft Azure. Experience mentoring and guiding developers is highly desirable.

This is a hands‑on technical role focused on solution architecture and development excellence rather than project management or pre‑sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable technical solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Analyse business and functional requirements and translate them into robust technical architectures.

• Apply a strong understanding of D365 F&O architecture, application layers, extensibility, and development best practices.

• Develop and customise solutions using X++, extensions, Chain of Command (CoC), event handlers, tables, forms, classes, data entities, workflows, and batch jobs.

• Design and maintain SSRS reports, integrations, APIs, OData services, Data Management Framework (DMF), and Business Events.

• Work with Microsoft Azure services and SQL Server to support integrations, data processing, performance optimisation, and enterprise application requirements.

• Prepare technical design specifications, effort estimates, impact analyses, and deployment documentation.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards, secure development practices, and performance requirements.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues involving application architecture, integrations, databases, and production environments.

• Manage development processes using Azure DevOps, including source control, builds, deployment packages, and release management.

• Collaborate with functional consultants and project managers to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.

• Provide technical guidance and mentor developers, supporting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team.

• Support technical activities during testing, UAT, go-live, and post‑implementation phases.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of hands‑on technical experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Previous experience working for a Microsoft Dynamics consultancy or a specialist Dynamics implementation partner.

• Strong expertise in X++ development and D365 F&O technical architecture.

• In‑depth understanding of D365 F&O application layers, extensions, Chain of Command, event handlers, tables, forms, classes, and data entities.

• 6+ years of experience with SQL Server, database concepts, query performance, and troubleshooting.

• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and its application within enterprise ERP environments.

• Experience developing and supporting SSRS reports, integrations, REST APIs, OData, DMF, and Business Events.

• Familiarity with the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC).

• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, version control, build processes, and deployment management.

• Experience with technical solution design, estimation, code reviews, and performance optimisation.

• Exposure to end‑to‑end D365 F&O implementations and production support.

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and guide other developers.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience acting as a technical lead or solution architect on D365 F&O projects.

• Experience mentoring or training developers.

• Strong understanding of technical design principles and Microsoft Dynamics development standards.

• Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Azure certifications.

Working Arrangement

This is a full‑time, office‑based position in Pune, Maharashtra, India, requiring attendance at the office five days per week. Candidates must be comfortable working in an on‑site environment and collaborating closely with the technical team.
