Job summary

CloudFronts seeks a Senior D365 Finance & Operations Technical Consultant to own end‑to‑end delivery from requirements through go‑live and post‑production support. You will translate business problems into scalable D365 F&O solutions using X++, Extensions, and the broader toolkit.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Dynamics AX/D365 F&O technical experience, with at least one full lifecycle implementation.
• Strong, practical expertise in X++, D365 F&O Extensions, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, LCS, integrations, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery of D365 F&O projects end-to-end from requirements to go-live and post-production support.
• Turn complex business processes into scalable technical solutions using X++, Extensions, Visual Studio, and D365 F&O toolkit.
• Design and manage integrations, data migrations, upgrades, and customizations with data management tools, APIs, and Azure services.
• Champion ALM practices, source control, deployments, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps and LCS.
• Partner with functional consultants and clients, providing technical guidance and removing roadblocks.
• Maintain high code quality through testing, debugging, reviews, and best practices for security and performance.
• Assist with reporting/analytics using Power BI, D365 F&O Data Entities, Entity Store, and Azure Data Lake.

About the Role

CloudFronts is looking for a Senior D365 Finance & Operations Technical Consultant who's comfortable taking a business problem and turning it into a solid, scalable technical solution — and who's ready to own that delivery from start to finish.

We're looking for someone who brings deep D365 F&O technical know-how along with the consulting instincts to work directly with clients, solve tough problems on the fly, and guide a project through to a successful go-live.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the technical delivery of D365 F&O projects end-to-end from understanding requirements and shaping the solution design, through development, testing, go-live, and beyond into post-production support.
• Turn complex business processes into clean, scalable technical solutions using X++, Extensions, Visual Studio, and the broader D365 F&O development toolkit.
• Design and manage integrations, data migrations, upgrades, and customizations, using D365 F&O's data management tools, APIs, and Azure services.
• Champion good ALM practices source control, deployments, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
• Partner closely with functional consultants, clients, and other stakeholders, offering technical guidance and helping work through implementation roadblocks.
• Keep code quality high through thoughtful testing, debugging, code reviews, and general best practices so what you build is secure, reusable, and performs well.
• Help meet reporting and analytics needs using Power BI, D365 F&O Data Entities, Entity Store, and Azure Data Lake.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of hands‑on Dynamics AX/D365 F&O technical experience, with at least one full lifecycle implementation under your belt.
• Strong, practical expertise in X++, D365 F&O Extensions, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, LCS, integrations, and data management.
• Experience upgrading from AX 2009/AX 2012 to D365 F&O is a definite plus.
• A mentoring mindset — someone happy to guide junior team members and help build out reusable frameworks and best practices that strengthen our D365 F&O practice as a whole.
