Job summary

General Mills India Centre seeks a passionate software testing professional with 7-10 years of experience in Functional and API testing. The role requires strong Web, API, data, and mobile testing skills, and familiarity with offshoring models.

You will design and execute SIT test cases, contribute to automation strategy, and collaborate across teams using JIRA/ADO within an Agile/DevOps environment.

Qualifications

Overview

The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic software testing professional with 7-10 years of experience in Functional and API testing. Candidates with experience in working in an offshoring model are preferred.

Key Accountabilities

End-to-End Solution Definition

• Proficient in Web Testing for complex applications.
• Expertise in API testing for RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Advanced skills in Data Testing for databases and data warehouses.
• Extensive experience in Mobile Testing for iOS and Android.
• Mastery of Different Test Techniques for comprehensive coverage.
• Ability to create and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) test cases efficiently.
• Proficient in designing, documenting, and maintaining test suites.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with issue tracking tools (JIRA, ADO, etc.).

Automation And Tools

• Proficient understanding of automation testing principles and tools.
• ISTQB certification is preferred.
• Experience in Microservices, API Integration testing, and CI/CD DevOps.

Quality Engineering Practices

• Expertise in Agile Testing methodologies, test planning, and test management.
• Advanced proficiency in Database Testing, Web Testing, and API Testing.
• Mastery of Test Design Techniques.

Automation Testing

• Knowledge of automation testing principles and tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience : 7-10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Functional and API testing.
• Proficient in creating and executing SIT test cases.
• Advanced understanding of automation testing principles and tools.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and CI/CD DevOps practices.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proven experience in performance testing and load testing.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with security testing and compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
• Experience with usage of GenAI/AI tool within functional testing space.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Quality Management or Testing (e.g., ISTQB).
• Experience with Microservices, API Integration testing.
• Previous experience in an offshoring model is a plus.
• Proven leadership and mentorship experience.
• Ability to drive quality initiatives and influence quality culture within the organization.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
• Experience with security testing and compliance.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database querying.
• Experience with Automation testing tools like Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
