Job summary

Aramex seeks a Senior and Lead Architect to design solution architecture for Digital & Technology projects and to ensure evolution of existing platforms. You will analyze business requirements, assess technical implications, and recommend cost-efficient solutions aligned with Aramex IT strategy in collaboration with IT Planning, Architecture and Security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years IT experience including 3+ years in digital architecture or solution design.
• Knowledge of freight and logistics system architecture like Cargowise, WMS (Infor), TMS applications.
• Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, CMMI, SDLC, etc.
• Experience in web application design or development.
• Experience across multiple tech environments and software solutions.
• Front end design, data modelling, integration design, and business process automation design.
• Experience implementing Agile projects.
• Experience in web development and understanding of web application architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Proficiency in at least one language e.g. C#, Java, Python.
• Proficiency in UI development languages e.g. JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
• Deep understanding of REST and SOAP integrations.
• Proven API management, microservices, event-driven architectures and complex integrations.
• Dev-Sec-Ops with CI/CD experience.

• Analyze business needs that directly impact customer satisfaction as it ensures that the solutions provided meet their requirements.
• Communicate solution overviews with clear communication for both technical and business leadership ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s in IT, computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in digital architecture or solution design.
• Knowledge in Freight and logistics system architecture like Cargowise, WMS e.g. Infor, TMS applications
• Familiarity with information systems management practices (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, CMMI, SDLC, etc.).
• Experience in web application design or development required.
• Experience with multiple and diverse technology environments and software solutions.
• Front End design, Data modelling, integration design, business process automation design.
• Experience implementing Agile projects.
• Experience in web development and understanding of web application architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and relational databases.
• Proficiency in at least one development language e.g. C#, Java, Python.
• Proficiency in UI development languages e.g. JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
• Deep understanding of REST and SOAP integrations.
• Proven track record in enterprise-wide API management, microservices, event-driven architectures and complex integrations, understanding of data types and data structures.
• Dev-Sec-Ops with hand on CI/CD experience.
