Job summary

BTVK Advisory in Bengaluru seeks an experienced IT audit professional to assess and manage financial and IT risks within client environments. You will work with client executives to understand their control frameworks and deliver insightful recommendations.

The role requires 3+ years in IT audit or cybersecurity, familiarity with SOX/SOC audits, and strong communication. Travel as needed; CPA/CISA/CISSP/CISM are a plus; consulting experience is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with IT audit or cybersecurity, previously performing SOX and SOC audits.
  • Preferred certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA or CPA.
  • Experience as a client-facing professional in consulting is desirable with strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel for work and take on additional projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with client executives to understand businesses and identify risks in their systems.
  • Provide strategic advice by implementing processes and controls addressing key risks.
  • Assess and optimize IT risk across cybersecurity, governance, and regulatory areas.
  • Review processes and controls against industry frameworks and communicate gaps to clients.
  • Develop and execute IT audit programs and control assessments (ITGC, application controls, etc.).
  • Draft executive summaries and reports, ensuring work papers meet internal audit standards.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
  • Pursue continuous learning and cross-training to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Job Description
  • Work closely with client executives and management teams to understand their businesses and assist in identifying and managing financial and operational risks within their business systems to ensure technology risks are managed. Develop in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries through direct client interaction while working on multiple aspects of an engagement.
  • Provide strategic business advice to clients by helping implement new processes and controls that address key risks based on knowledge of their operations, processes, and business objectives.
  • Assess, manage, and optimize information technology risk across areas like cybersecurity, IT strategy, governance, compliance, and business continuity.
  • Review clients' processes and controls against industry frameworks, identifying gaps in design and execution, and communicating issues and recommendations to clients.
  • Assist in the development and execution of audit programs and IT control assessments in key areas, such as IT strategy, operations, business continuity, cybersecurity, third-party risk, ITGC, application controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for delivery to clients, ensuring engagement work papers are documented and reviewed in line with industry-accepted internal audit methodologies.
  • Act as a trusted business advisor, building strong client relationships and providing superior client service through effective communication.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and development, actively pursuing internal and external education, training, and cross-training opportunities to enhance personal skills and contribute to organizational goals.
  • Utilize entrepreneurial skills to build strong internal and external relationships, while enjoying a healthy work-life balance through team activities and social events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with IT audit or cybersecurity, previous experienced performing SOX and SOC audits
  • preferred - CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA, or CPA certification(s) preferred
  • Experience as a client serving professional for a consulting firm desired Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills
  • Ability to travel for work and work on Additional Projects wherever needed
