Job summary

Tecnots in India is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to protect our systems, data, and infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain secure systems while collaborating with development and operations teams to embed security into the SDLC.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability management, cloud security, and strong scripting abilities. CISSP/CISM/ Security+ are desirable qualifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience or more.
• Strong network security knowledge and architectures.
• Hands-on with SIEM tools (Splunk/ELK/QRadar).
• Experience in vulnerability management and security assessments.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with industry frameworks and compliance standards.
• Scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash).
• Certs like CISSP/CISM/Security+ are desirable.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security systems and protocols to protect organizational assets.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
• Monitor security systems, analyze logs, and respond promptly to security incidents and alerts.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in line with best practices.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Research emerging security threats, technologies, and regulations to ensure proactive defense strategies.
• Provide expert guidance and support on security-related matters to internal teams and stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar).
• Demonstrated ability in vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security assessment tools.
• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with industry security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for security tasks.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
