Job summary

Blackbaud India is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to strengthen and scale our cloud security capabilities. You will design secure cloud solutions, enable secure integrations, and enhance threat detection across cloud environments.

This role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, IT, and data protection teams to deliver secure, scalable systems that support social impact. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cloud/infrastructure/security engineering, 4+ years with AWS/Azure, and experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or security engineering.
• 4+ years with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience in cloud security architecture and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep).
• Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPC/VNet, DNS, load balancers, firewalls).
• Understanding of IAM, zero trust principles, and secure cloud design patterns.
• Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and CI/CD automation, monitoring, and secrets management.

About The Role

We’re looking for a curious, collaborative, and impact-driven Sr. Security Engineer to help strengthen and scale our cloud security capabilities. In this role, you’ll unleash the potential of people and organizations by powering secure, resilient systems that enable social impact. As a cloud and endpoint subject matter expert, you’ll enhance our cloud security posture while partnering across teams to deliver solutions that are both secure and scalable, helping expand what’s possible for purpose-driven organizations.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or security engineering, including 4+ years with AWS and/or Azure
• Experience in cloud security architecture and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, routing, and private connectivity
• Understanding of identity and access management, zero trust principles, and secure cloud design patterns
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, along with CI/CD automation, monitoring, and secrets management tools
