Job summary

Qapita is seeking a Cyber Security & Compliance Intern to support vulnerability assessments, cloud security reviews, and compliance activities within a fast-growing SaaS environment.

You will work with seasoned security professionals on risk management, automation projects, and documentation, gaining exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and DPDPA while building practical GRC experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in cyber security, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Understanding of fundamental security concepts such as vulnerability management, cloud security, and security best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support VAPT activities by coordinating security assessments with external vendors, tracking findings, and following up on remediation efforts.
• Assist in cloud security reviews by validating configurations, identifying gaps, and documenting observations.
• Support Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) activities, including security questionnaires, evidence collection, and tracker management.
• Build simple scripts and automations to reduce manual effort across security operations.
• Maintain security documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Gain exposure to industry frameworks and regulations such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and DPDPA.
