Job summary

Prithvi Inner Wears Private Limited in Tamil Nadu is seeking a production operator to join the Despatch unit. You will operate cutting machines safely, verify fabric and cutting instructions, and ensure quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

The role requires 1-2 years of experience and an under graduate qualification. It is a permanent position in the Manufacturing department, with responsibilities including minimizing wastage, following 5S, PPE, and reporting issues to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting machines safely and efficiently.
• Check fabric, marker, lay, and cutting instructions before starting work.
• Verify fabric shade, width, length, and quality as per requirements.
• Follow approved marker and cutting specifications.
• Ensure proper fabric laying and alignment before cutting.
• Maintain accurate cutting according to patterns and measurements.
• Check cut panels for accuracy, defects, and shade variation.
• Maintain cutting quantity as per production plan.
• Separate and bundle cut components according to size, style, color, and lot.
• Attach proper bundle identification tickets.
• Minimize fabric wastage during cutting.
• Inform the Cutting Supervisor/Team Leader about fabric defects or cutting issues.
• Maintain cutting machines, blades, tools, and work areas properly.
• Report machine breakdowns or abnormal conditions to the Maintenance Team.
• Follow 5S, housekeeping, safety, and PPE requirements.
• Follow company quality and production procedures.
• Support the Cutting Team Leader and other cutting activities when required
