Job summary

Stealth Startup, a crypto fund, is seeking a Crypto HFT Trader. You will research, develop, and monitor automated trading strategies across cryptocurrency exchanges, analyzing order book data to identify short-lived opportunities and improve execution.

You will work with a remote team to refine strategy parameters, maintain trading records, and set controls for position limits and exchange exposure while evaluating performance after fees, slippage, and funding costs.

Qualifications

• Experience developing or operating automated crypto trading strategies.
• Strong understanding of order books, liquidity, spreads.
• Proficiency in Python and exchange APIs.
• Ability to backtest strategies rigorously and evaluate live results after costs.
• Experience monitoring trading systems and diagnosing issues.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Crypto HFT Trader. You will research, develop, and monitor automated trading strategies across cryptocurrency exchanges. The work includes analyzing order book and trade data, identifying short-lived opportunities, improving execution, and measuring performance after fees, slippage, and funding costs.

You will work with the team to investigate production issues, refine strategy parameters, maintain trading records, and set controls for position limits, exchange exposure, and unexpected market conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience developing or operating automated crypto trading strategies, such as market making, cross-exchange arbitrage, or short-horizon statistical strategies.
• Strong understanding of order books, liquidity, spreads, adverse selection, and exchange order types.
• Proficiency in Python and experience working with exchange APIs, WebSockets, and real-time market data.
• Ability to backtest strategies rigorously and evaluate live results after transaction costs.
• Experience monitoring trading systems and diagnosing execution, connectivity, and data-quality issues.
• Sound judgment around leverage, position sizing, and operational risk.
• Clear communication and the ability to work independently with a remote team.
• Experience with perpetual futures and low-latency systems is especially relevant.
