Job summary

Hitachi Energy India Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Lead Protection & Control engineer in Grid Automation to lead a design engineering team for Protection & Control Panels used in HV, EHV and UHV substations. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years in Protection & Control Panel Engineering.

The role requires leading a team of design engineers, delivering technically complete drawings and documents, and guiding technical resolutions with customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Protection & Control Panel Engineering.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Robust knowledge of Power System Network, Protection, Control & Substation Automation.

Responsibilities

• Contract specification assessment and translation into design; assess risks and opportunities.
• Base design development with cost-effective concepts aligned to customer specs.
• Supervise engineering process and documentation for technical completeness.
• Lead technical resolution with customers and translate requirements into Hitachi solutions.
• Active management of technical changes, risks and claims (technical part).
• Support bids/proposals to meet functional requirements and competitiveness.
• Lead CRP drawing standardization and solution optimization for multiple customers.

About this role:

Hitachi Energy India Limited is looking for Lead Protection & Control engineer in Grid Automation Business located in Peenya - Bangalore , to lead a team of design Engineers for Protection & Control Panel Engineering in High Voltage, Extra High Voltage and Ultra High Voltage Transmission Substations. The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in Protection & Control Panel Engineering.

Should have experience in leading a team of design engineers. In this role we are looking forward to the following:

Job Description:

• a. Contract Specification assessment (requirements, deviations, risks, opportunities)
• b. Base design with all necessary concepts (cost effective solutions based on customer contract specification and technical offer)
• c. Supervise the engineering process and documentation quality of the team of design engineers to ensure submission of drawings/documents technically complete in all respects, compared to the project specification.
• d. Lead technical resolution of solutions with customers and translating customer requirements into solutions of Hitachi
• e. Active management of technical changes, risks & claims (only technical part)
• f. Supporting bid & proposal to find solutions which meet the functional requirements of the customer and be competitive in the market
• g. Leading CRP drawing standardization and solution optimization activities for set of customers.
