Job Title: Cross-Border Data Control Operations & Advisory Services Lead Location: Pune, India Corporate Title: VP

Role Description

This role is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data control operations across all control execution teams, while providing strategic advisory services to data business and technology stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of cross-border data control operations frameworks with the Control Execution Teams.
  • Oversee ongoing control operations monitoring, reporting, and issue remediation activities.
  • Manage end-to-end controls recertification processes, ensuring completeness, accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely execution.
  • Provide and manage the cross-border data advisory services on rules and standards to business and technology stakeholders, including the design and rollout of mandatory training programs, awareness campaigns, and targeted communications (e.g., rules or regulatory changes, or drop-in session).
  • Drive effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management to ensure consistent and high-quality control execution across regions and functions.
  • Establish and maintain governance routines, performance metrics, and management reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate PMO activities in this field, including planning, tracking, risk management, dependency management, and executive reporting.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the control environment.
Your skills and experience
  • Strong experience in control operations, governance, risk management, or regulatory compliance within a complex organization.
  • Proven Program and Project Management Office (PMO) capabilities, including planning, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex topics to both technical and non-technical as well as C-Level audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple seniority levels and geographies.
  • Solid technical understanding of data management disciplines, including data governance, data quality, data lineage, metadata management, and data controls.
  • Experience operating in cross-functional and international environments with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured and outcome-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
