An established industry player is seeking a detail-oriented research analyst to support its equity research team. This role involves collaborating with portfolio managers and the CIO, providing integrated research support, and analyzing insights on both public and private stocks. The successful candidate will engage in financial modeling, synthesize sell-side research, and prepare investment notes that deliver actionable insights to clients. The role involves supporting the equity research team of the family office of a large global manufacturing company.
Working with the CIO and Portfolio managers at the client end and providing highly integrated research support.
Analyzing and sharing insights on the sector and companies tracked (both public and private stocks).
Work on companies across the IT sector across geographies (Global and Indian).
Handle bespoke research tasks, including preparing event updates, analyzing IPOs/corporate actions, maintaining sector databases.
Build and maintain financial models for active and new positions.
Synthesize sell-side research recommendations and consensus views.
Preparing questions for company management and coordination with sell-side brokers.
Regular interaction with brokers/company management.
Support in thematic bottom-up research in stock selection as the relationship evolves.
Prepare short investment notes based on analysis and provide clients with actionable insights.
Prior knowledge of buy-side research will be a big positive.
Prior exposure in the IT sector is mandatory.
Excellent communication skills and client relationship skills.
Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts.
Attention to detail, ability to stretch and learn, high analytical rigor.
Excellent financial modelling skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
Prior experience in guiding and mentoring junior team members will be advantageous.
