Barclays is seeking a Credit Risk & Pricing BA based in Pune to identify business needs and craft solutions that address opportunities in risk analytics and reporting. You will act as the bridge between business users, data teams, model developers, and IT delivery to deliver value.

You will lead UAT, validate rules, and ensure outputs meet expectations. The role requires strong analytics, communication, and Agile-friendly delivery experience, with proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a developer, business analyst, middle office analyst or trading support analyst.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal & written and a advocate of the control environment.
  • Business analysis or application development experience supporting financial applications.
  • Data analysis with large datasets using Excel/SQL/Scripting languages.
  • University degree with high mathematical and computing content (CS/Math/Engineering/Physics).
  • Create business process flows, functional specs, user stories and acceptance criteria for risk analytics platforms and reporting solutions.
  • Bridge between business users, data teams, model developers and IT delivery teams.
  • Lead UAT, validate rules, reconcile outputs and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • User SQL, Excel, Python and Tableau to analyze data and support decisions.

To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:
  • Experience as a developer, business analyst, middle office analyst or trading support analyst

  • Data analysis working with big datasets using Microsoft Office Excel/SQL/Scripting languages
  • University degree, with high mathematical and computing content e.g. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Physics
  • Create business process flows, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for risk analytics platforms and reporting solutions
  • Act as the bridge between business users, data teams, model developers(Quants), and IT Delivery teams
  • Lead UAT (user acceptance testing), validate business rules, reconcile outputs, and ensure solutions meet business expectations
  • User SQL, Excel, Python, and other analytical tools (e.g.,Tableau) to analyze data and support decision-making

  • Participate in Agile or scrum meetings, manage delivery timelines, risks, dependencies and change requests
  • Identify automation opportunities, improve reporting efficiency, leverage AI, and analytics to enhance credit risk decision-making
  • Agile delivery experience (JIRA, Confluence, user stories) would be an added advantage.

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.

Accountabilities
  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
