Job summary

Weir Minerals is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to support order-to-cash processes, ensure timely collections, and safeguard cash flow. The role focuses on credit hold release, intercompany payment management, proforma invoices, and customer documentation coordination.

You will collaborate with sales, treasury, and finance teams to optimize working capital while ensuring compliance with FEMA and other FX requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit Management, or Order-to-Cash operations.
  • Strong understanding of credit control, collections, customer reconciliations, and working capital management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.

Key Responsibilities
Credit Hold Release and Order Management
  • Review and validate customer purchase orders and contract requirements to facilitate the timely release of sales orders and deliveries held on credit block.
  • Ensure prompt release of orders subject to advance payment and retention terms.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and planning teams to prevent delays that could impact Material Requirement Planning (MRP), on-time delivery (OTD), and contractual commitments.
  • Escalate potential risks that may result in delivery delays, customer dissatisfaction, or liquidated damages.
Intercompany Payment Management
  • Monitor outstanding intercompany receivables and proactively follow up with overseas entities to ensure timely payment collection.
  • Support compliance with Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) regulations and other applicable foreign exchange requirements.
  • Coordinate with treasury and finance teams to mitigate risks associated with delayed settlements, hedge contract restructuring, and foreign exchange exposure.
  • Drive timely resolution of intercompany payment issues to optimize liquidity and working capital performance.
Proforma Invoice Administration
  • Prepare and issue proforma invoices for advance payments, retention releases, bank guarantee requirements, commissioning activities, and other customer-specific needs.
  • Ensure timely distribution of invoices to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Coordinate courier and document delivery requirements as necessary.
  • Monitor invoice processing timelines to prevent delays in customer payments and cash realization.
Customer Documentation Management
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and compile customer-required documentation in accordance with purchase order terms.
  • Submit original documentation packages and supporting materials to customers to facilitate payment processing.
  • Prepare covering letters and ensure timely delivery of documents.
  • Track document status and proactively resolve issues that may impact collections and cash flow.
Customer Account Reconciliations
  • Perform customer account reconciliations on a periodic basis and upon customer request.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between customer records and company accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address disputes and outstanding reconciliation items.
  • Support the timely resolution of issues that could delay payment collection.
Collections and Cash Flow Management
  • Manage collection activities for third-party customer accounts, with a focus on reducing overdue receivables and improving aging performance.
  • Conduct regular customer follow-ups through calls, emails, and meetings to secure payment commitments.
  • Partner with sales, customer service, and dispute management teams to resolve barriers to payment.
  • Monitor aging reports, prioritize collection efforts, and elevate high-risk accounts as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the achievement of cash collection, working capital, and delinquency reduction targets.
Compliance and Administrative Support
  • Maintain and update cheque registers and related payment documentation.
  • Track, monitor, and record bank guarantees and associated obligations.
  • Monitor proof of delivery (POD) for couriered documents and maintain supporting records.
  • Support Electronic Bank Realisation Certificate (e-BRC) regularization and related compliance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit Management, or Order-to-Cash operations.
  • Strong understanding of credit control, collections, customer reconciliations, and working capital management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange, intercompany transactions, and compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field required. MBA (Finance), M.Com or CA Inter qualification preferred. Strong foundation in accounting and Accounts Receivable processes is essential.
