Job summary

Learner's Hub Academy in Mumbai is seeking an experienced educator to conduct creative writing, grammar and literature sessions for Grade 5 to Grade 8, with an engaging, student‑centric approach.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of teaching experience, strong English proficiency, and experience with writing programmes beyond grammar. Shortlisted applicants must submit a writing sample and conduct a demo class. Remuneration is based on qualification, experience and demo performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in English, Literature or Education with advanced degrees preferred.
• B.Ed preferred
• Experience in Creative Writing beyond grammar is advantageous
• Minimum 2–5 years teaching experience with Pre Primary to Higher School students

Responsibilities

• To conduct engaging creative writing, grammar and literature sessions for Grade 5 to Grade 8
• To take up grammar, literature or creative writing batches as and when required by the centre
• To encourage originality, imagination and structured thinking in every learner
• To guide students through brainstorming, drafting, editing, refining and presenting their work

CANDIDATE PROFILE FOR THE POSITION

1. Qualification

• Bachelor degree in English, Literature or Education or any other graduate (Master's in English or any other related field is an advantage)
• B.Ed. preferred or any other degree
• Any certification or coursework in Creative Writing or Literature is an added advantage

2. Preferred Age Bracket

• 25 to 45 years

3. Previous Experience

• Minimum 2 to 5 years teaching experience with Pre Primary , primary and Higher school students
• Proven, hands-on experience in teaching creative writing not only grammar or textbook English
• Experience in an English enrichment Centre, school English department or writing programme preferred

4. Roles & Responsibilities Core Purpose of the Role

5. Essential Functional Competencies Mandatory

• Strong command of written and spoken English the educator must be a capable writer, not only a teacher of writing
• Thorough knowledge of grammar rules and the ability to teach application, not just definitions
• Complete knowledge of the various genres of creative writing
• Ability to make classes interactive, discussion-led and student-centric
• Good classroom management and communication skills
• Computer knowledge : MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

Desirable

• Experience with CBSE / ICSE / IGCSE Cambridge curriculum
• Exposure to activity-based or experiential learning methods
• Background in English enrichment or creative writing programme
• Personal writing practice blogging, published work, poetry or journalism
