Job summary

PurpleTalk, a leading mobile design firm, seeks a Mid-Senior Design Director to drive mobile strategy, UX/UI design, and client engagements. You will lead a team of designers delivering iPhone and Android projects from concept to finished screens.

The ideal candidate has a design degree from IIT/NIT/IIIT/NID, has built several non-trivial websites and apps, and can create multiple visual themes from high-level concepts. Strong client communication is essential.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Design from IITs, NIT, IIIT or NID is preferred.
• Should have designed several non trivial web sites and mobile applications (for iPhone and Android at a minimum).
• Ability to create several different visual themes from a high level concept.
• Expertise on tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
• Good communications skills. Should have experience working directly with clients.

Job description

• MOBILE STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP - Provide clients with clear strategy recommendations in areas of user experience and user interface. Provide concept analysis and offer insights aimed at improving client concepts and maximizing project potential.
• MOBILE U/X DESIGN - User Experience (U/X) design services for clients, including development of wire-frames, flow sequences and related interface concepts.
• MOBILE U/I DESIGN - User Interface (UI) design services for clients, including development of screen concepts, mock-ups and key screen finished art.
• TEAM LEADERSHIP - Lead and guide a team of Designers, each responsible for various levels of Mobile Design deliveries. Provide design and strategic guidance on all mobile design projects within the department.
• CONTINUING EDUCATION - Art Director is expected to strive to be a specialist and expert in the field of Mobile Solutions, Apps and the App Stores across all mobile OS platforms.
