Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a CPU Software Architect to develop and optimize software for high performance, energy efficiency and scalability. You will collaborate with CPU, DSP and compiler teams from concept to post-silicon verification.

The role requires strong expertise in C/C++, OS concepts, and Linux internals, with deep knowledge of computer architecture and software stacks. This position is based in India, Karnataka, with opportunities to advance in a cutting-edge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python.
• Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Scripting.
• In-depth understanding of Linux internals and device drivers.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and OS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Leverages knowledge of CPU Architecture to develop and/or optimize software for high performance and low power.
• Run benchmarks for applications and perform critical pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met.
• Analyze software workloads to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Debugs and addresses software performance issues.
• Collaborates with CPU, DSP and Compiler teams to identify solutions that meet CPU performance requirements.
• Writes detailed technical documentation and test descriptions for projects.
