Job summary

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced software engineer in Bengaluru to drive high‑performance, power‑efficient software across CPU architectures. You will optimize critical code paths, run rigorous benchmarks, and work with CPU, DSP and compiler teams to meet performance goals.

The role emphasizes deep Linux internals knowledge, OS concepts, and aggressive library optimizations. A strong background in C/C++ and scripting is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong C/C++ and assembly programming skills.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals and device drivers.
• Strong grasp of computer architecture and operating system concepts.
• Experience with power/performance optimization and library optimization.

Responsibilities

• Leverage CPU architecture to develop and optimize software for high performance and low power.
• Run benchmarks and perform pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals.
• Analyze software workloads to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Job description

10+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.

Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Scripting.

In-depth Understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers.

Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts.

Good performance work /ARM /Database optimization /Load balance /Library optimization/Algorithm Optimization/High Level/ "No Web server only", We can accommodate one windows and one Android + power performance/Optimized libraries.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Leverages knowledge of CPU Architecture to develop and/or optimize Software for high performance and low power.

Run benchmarks for applications and performs critical pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met.

Analyze Software workloads in order to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Debugs and addresses Software performance issues.

Collaborates with CPU, DSP and Compiler teams to identify solutions that meet CPU performance requirements.

Writes detailed technical documentation and test descriptions for projects.
