Job summary

Adani is seeking a seasoned Cost Estimation professional in Ahmedabad to lead cost forecasting for TBCB Transmission projects. The role requires coordinating with Engineering and Project teams to gather technical data and compile Bills of Quantities for major equipment such as transformers, reactors, and lines.

The incumbent will drive bid-level cost estimates, perform IEEMA-based price variations, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification as stated: Bachelor's degree in electrical / supply chain management / economics / finance / operations / engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years' work experience in cost estimation, purchasing management, buying, or commodity management.
• Hands on experience on Microsoft Office and IEEMA Software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Centre of Excellence team / Engineering/ Project team to get technical details, Bill of Quantities.
• Prepare & Review of Cost Estimates for TBCB Transmission projects including 765kV, 400kV, 220kV & 132kV AIS/GIS Substations, Transmission Lines and EHV class Transformers & Reactors.
• Preparation of Cost for Major Items (Transformers/ Reactors, Towers, Conductors) based on Costing templates.
• Float EPC Enquiries for Transmission Lines and Substations at bid stage, arrange technical discussion with internal stake-holders.
• Support Business development in providing cost estimates for bidding purpose.
• IEEMA Price Variation Calculations for Steel, Conductor, ICT/SRs, substation equipment & services.
• Merger & Acquisition activities on techno-commercial perspective for Projects when applicable.
• Explore opportunities for enhancing efficiency in estimation processes.
• Develop & Maintain business specific standard cost templates and processes
• Review the cost estimates with the actual value of procurement to understand accuracy of estimates.
• Follow standard templates for common items and input for any improvement required in templates.

Qualifications
