Job summary

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a BE-level Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics engineer with 6–8 years of experience to lead cost engineering and manufacturing process analysis across programs.

You will conduct competitor studies, estimate upfront and lifecycle costs, and collaborate with suppliers to optimize product economics throughout design-to-cost initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct competitor product studies and teardown analysis to understand market positioning and design features.
• Perform product and component cost estimation for Greenfield and Brownfield projects (Sales price, Design to Cost, negotiation calculations, RPP)
• Execute technical studies on manufacturing processes, design features, and material specifications
• Predict and document assembly techniques and sequences for product manufacturing
• Develop detailed product comparison reports and technical documentation
• Engage with suppliers and vendors to gather cost and capability information
• Apply holistic cost engineering methods and processes to optimize product economics
• Identify and suggest process improvement opportunities based on cost analysis
• Maintain knowledge of competitor tracking and market benchmarking trends
• Analyze product cost structures and provide insights for design optimization
