Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Team Lead - SAP Controlling Finance Partner in Bengaluru to drive SAP S/4HANA Controlling initiatives and partner with global finance stakeholders. You will lead end-to-end process improvements across manufacturing, projects, services and software businesses, translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions while ensuring governance and transformation alignment.

You will own demand management, mentoring, and the evolution of standardized global finance

Qualifications

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in SAP CO Consulting, Finance Transformation or Controlling.
• Experience leading a team of 4–5 members is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between Controllers, Finance Stakeholders, and the SAP CO Center of Excellence.
• Lead requirement gathering, solution discussions, and demand management activities for SAP Controlling enhancements.
• Drive continuous improvement of SAP Controlling processes across Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order, Engineer-to-Order, Services and Software.
• Provide functional leadership across Controlling areas including Product Costing, CO-PA, Result Analysis and Period-End Closing.
• Oversee delivery of Controlling capabilities, KPI targets, automation programs, and improvement objectives.
• Partner with global teams to analyse end-to-end financial value flows and standardize processes.
• Lead resolution of complex issues with SAP CO, FI, MM, SD, PP, and PS teams.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and global rollouts from design to implementation.
• Develop training, SOPs and playbooks for the global controlling community.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance requirements.
• Mentor junior consultants and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Provide functional leadership and expertise across key Controlling areas including Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, Material Ledger, CO-PA, Result Analysis, RAR, and Period-End Closing.
• Oversee and ensure the delivery of overall controlling capabilities, KPI targets, automation programs, and continuous improvement objectives.
• Partner with global business and finance teams to analyse end-to-end financial value flows and identify opportunities for process standardization, simplification, and automation.
• Lead resolution of complex business and system issues through effective collaboration with SAP CO, FI, MM, SD, PP, and PS teams.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, global rollouts, and enhancement projects from solution design through implementation.
• Develop and deliver training, knowledge-sharing sessions, process documentation, SOPs, and playbooks for the global controlling community.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial governance requirements, audit standards, and organizational policies.
• Mentor junior consultants and team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your Background

• CA, CMA, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or MBA (Finance).
• 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in SAP CO Consulting, Finance Transformation, Controlling, or Management Accounting roles.
• Experience in Handling a team of 4 – 5 members is mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Controlling with expertise in areas such as Product Costing, Material Ledger, CO-PA, Cost Object Controlling, Allocation Cycles, and Profit Center Accounting.
• Experience delivering at least one end-to-end SAP implementation, rollout, or major transformation project.
• Strong understanding of integration between SAP CO and related modules including FI, MM, SD, PP, and PS.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial, Project Business, or Global Capability Center environments preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural environment.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements, lead cross-functional initiatives, and influence business outcomes through technology-enabled solutions.
