Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks a Finance Controller to drive financial excellence across operations. You will lead closing, reporting, and controlling with SAP ERP, delivering data-driven insights and ensuring compliance.

The role partners with project execution, supply chain, procurement, and shared services to optimize processes, improve automation, and strengthen internal controls while supporting strategic growth and digitalization initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in Controlling, FPA, Finance Operations, or similar function in a multinational environment.
• Strong expertise in SAP HANA and ERP-based financial controlling processes.
• Proven experience managing financial closing activities, operational reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with proficiency in English.
• Experience leading process improvement, automation, or finance transformation initiatives is highly valued.

Responsabilidades

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities with compliant reporting.
• Act as SME for controlling, including cost control, RD controlling, and financial analysis.
• Perform analyses to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality through reconciliations, validations, and structured problem solving.
• Partner with project execution, supply chain, procurement, and shared services to resolve issues.
• Provide SAP/ERP-based financial process expertise and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Drive standardization, automation, and better financial controls across the function.
• Prepare and validate financial statements, management reports, and KPIs for leadership.
• Support managers with timely, data-driven insights for operational decisions.
• Promote accountability, integrity, safety, and continuous improvement in finance.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Provide expertise on SAP and ERP-based financial processes, supporting transactional accuracy, reporting quality, and process adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process standardization, reporting automation, operational efficiency, and enhanced financial controls.
• Prepare and validate financial statements, management reports, and performance metrics while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Support managers with timely, data-driven financial insights that enable effective operational decision-making.
• Champion a culture of accountability, integrity, safety, and continuous improvement across all financial activities.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in Controlling, FPA, Finance Operations, or a similar finance function within a multinational environment.
• Strong expertise in SAP HANA and ERP-based financial controlling processes.
• Proven experience managing financial closing activities, operational reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex responsibilities independently and drive execution with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Experience leading process improvement, automation, or finance transformation initiatives is highly valued.
