Qualifications

• Engineering degree ( Civil ) with MBA in Construction/Strategy or Science + MBA in Construction/Strategy is required.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Construction management, Project Management, or Planning/Strategy roles.
• Exposure to large-scale projects or infrastructure sectors would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Counterparty Risk: analyze counterparties including private/public sector entities (domestic and international).
• Evaluate creditworthiness of state governments using budgetary data and fiscal indicators.
• Perform sovereign risk assessment through macroeconomic, geopolitical, and financial data.
• Strategic Risk: monitor emerging risks affecting business models, technology shifts, energy transition and decarbonization.
• Identify risks from regulatory changes and work with units to assess impact on operations and strategy.
• Tools and Communication: prepare presentations for leadership and board discussions; perform scenario analysis and forecasting using Excel; collaborate with Finance, Strategy, Legal, and Business Development.

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and analytical professional to join the Corporate Risk Management team. The role involves identifying, assessing, and monitoring strategic and counterparty risks related to the groups domestic and international operations, with a special focus on infrastructure and capital-intensive businesses. The candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders and business units to build insights that support long-term decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Counterparty Risk

• Conduct detailed financial and qualitative analysis of counterparties including private/public sector companies (domestic and international).
• Evaluate creditworthiness of State Governments and assess risks using budgetary data and fiscal indicators.
• Perform sovereign risk assessment through macroeconomic, geopolitical, and financial data of various countries.
• Build and maintain robust financial models to assess the viability and risk profiles of counterparties and contracts.

Strategic Risk

• Monitor and analyze emerging strategic risks such as:

1. Shifts in global and domestic business models
2. Disruptive technologies and digitization.
3. Energy transition and decarbonization trends.

• Identify potential business risks arising from sectoral or regulatory changes.
• Work with business units to assess implications of these risks on L&Ts operations and strategy.

Tools and Communication

• Build effective presentations for internal leadership and board-level discussions using MS PowerPoint.
• Use Excel for scenario analysis, forecasting, trend analytics, and sensitivity assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Finance, Strategy, Legal, and Business Development teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Engineering (Civil) + MBA (Construction/Strategy)
• OR Science Graduate + MBA (Construction/Strategy)

Experience

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Construction management, Project Management, or Planning / strategy roles.
• Exposure to large-scale projects or infrastructure sectors would be an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of Project Management, Planning, Construction management and Finance.
• Excel skills including financial modeling, scenario/sensitivity analysis.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint for reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and tools

Domain Knowledge

• Understanding of infrastructure, EPC, and capital-intensive industries is preferred.
• Awareness of global economic indicators and their relevance to emerging markets and project risk.
