Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking a seasoned corporate communications professional with 12-14 years of experience to lead public relations, media relations, and crisis communication for the organization.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Degree – B-Tech + MBA
• MBA or master’s in communication or journalism is preferred
• Experience in corporate communication is required
• Crisis communication exposure is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Drive positive PR for the Company
• Plan, conceptualize, and execute PR strategies to garner positive media coverage
• Support in educating media on critical issues
• Facilitate media interviews for Company spokespersons
• Build strong relationships with media
• Draft content including press releases, background papers, OPED, and briefing documents for top management
• Experience in writing speeches for top management is preferred
• Coordinate with PR agency to achieve deliverables

Essential: MICA / NMIMS / Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC) / IIMC/ MCRC Jamia or similar

ii) Experience:

• Applicants should have a minimum of 12 - 14 years of work experience in corporate communication or experience of a leading national daily/ wire/ broadcast media
• They should be proficient in writing (e.g. press releases, speeches for management) and have excellent media relations.
• Candidates with experience of working in a corporate setup with substantial exposure in handling crisis communication will have an edge
• Candidates with engineering background or exposure of manufacturing sector will also have an added advantage
