Job description

Service Desk Technician

We’re looking for a Service Desk Technician to provide excellent customer service, troubleshoot issues, and support IT operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing first and second-level support for incident and request handling, focusing on first-call resolution.
  • Utilizing best practices in incident management, including detailed ticket documentation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Assisting in system upgrades, maintenance, and hardware configurations.
  • Supporting mobile devices and tablets.
  • Managing Office 365, OKTA, and understanding MS Windows and Mac OS.
  • Documenting technical issues and solutions effectively.
  • Recommending technology solutions and working within an ITIL framework.
  • Staffing the Genius Bar for appointments and walk-ins.
  • Managing inventory and equipment receiving.
  • Ensuring privacy and security obligations are met.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Service Desk experience.
  • 2+ years troubleshooting Office 365.
  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
  • Understanding of MS Windows and Mac OS.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred extras:

  • Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.
  • Certifications like MCSA, CCNA, ITIL, SCCM, Jamf, Office 365.
