Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION in Bengaluru, India seeks a Global Cash Operations Senior Associate to support day-to-day cash processing for assigned clients and portfolios. You will interact with global centres and client operations teams to ensure smooth processing per fund policies.

The role requires understanding of cash reconciliation, settlement processes, and related accounting, with knowledge of MT202/MT103 and NOSTRO. Strong communication and risk mitigation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate with experience in investment banking/cash operations/settlements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to escalate and mitigate risks and resolve breaks timely.

Responsibilities

• Understand cash reconciliation and settlement processes, and related accounting.
• Interpret payment/receipts relationships and resolve breaks promptly.
• Ensure operational deliverables align with SOPs and policy.
• Identify unusual or potentially suspicious activity and escalate per procedures.
• Communicate with fund groups, client operations, and agent banks via email/phone per market cut-offs.
• Familiarity with Trade Life cycle and guidelines; knowledge of NOSTRO and payment systems (MT202, Fedwire); SWIFT MT202/MT103/MT910/MT940.
• Basic working knowledge of reconciliation tools such as Intellimatch.

About ProcessAs a Global cash Operation Senior Associate, you will interact internally with global Centres of Excellence, Client Operations teams, business unit Shared Service teams to complete applicable day-to-day activities, relating to the overall processing for assigned clients and portfoliosKey Responsibilities & Experience Range• Should have good understanding of cash reconciliation process• Should have good understand of the settlement process and accounting (Statements and Ledgers)• Good to have FX settlement knowledge• Works in conjunction with individuals on the team as well as other shared services and Client Operations to ensure seamless processing according to the fund’s policiesShould be able to interpret relation between payment and receipts and be able to resolve breaks timely and accuratelyAchieve all assigned operational deliverables adhering to Standard Operating Procedures• During the course of normal day to day operation, be responsible for identifying any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and must report and/or escalate in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed in relevant operating procedures• Ability to communicate with different teams/fund groups/agent banks via email/phone calls in accordance to the strict market cut-off• Should be familiar with Trade Life cycle and have a fair understanding of different guidelines• Good understanding of NOSTRO and other payment systems (MT202, Fed wire).
