Job summary

SV Management Consultants in Pune seeks an Automotive Cooling System Design Engineer to lead the design of cooling systems for SUV, UV, and LCV platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and executive leadership to drive results and resolve issues across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include 3D/2D Catia V5 modelling, design reviews, performance benchmarking, and weight/cost reduction initiatives (VAVE).

Responsibilities

• Design cooling system for SUV, UV, and LCV platforms.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams, suppliers, and leadership to drive results.
• Prepare 3D/DMU and 2D drawings in Catia V5 Surfacing & Part Modelling.
• Apply analytical methods and vehicle development tools for benchmarking.
• Participate in design reviews and create design sheets; release components/parts.
• Ensure alignment with vehicle integration, system/aggregate design, and packaging.
• Support DVP, CAE interactions, testing, production, and field issue resolution.
• Conduct product benchmarking against competitors' specifications.
• Contribute to weight and cost reduction opportunities through VAVE analysis.
• CoordinatePrototype development and vehicle testing for durability and performance.
• Assist in validation activities at component and vehicle levels.
• Resolve issues during validation/production/warranty proactively.
• Lead technical reviews with heads, suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for Design of Cooling system for SUV, UV, LCV platforms.
• Interact, integrate and drive results across cross functional teams in engineering, suppliers and executive leadership
• Work on 3D / DMU & 2D drawing preparation in Catia V5 Surfacing & Part Modelling.
• Use analytical methods / benchmark or vehicle development tools, as appropriate.
• Familiarity with Cooling system design calculations, participation in design reviews and preparation of design sheets, Component / part release
• Must be fully conversant in field of vehicle integration, system/aggregate design, packaging & layout preparation
• Preparation of DVP, CAE interaction, testing, production and field issue resolve
• Product Benchmarking and comparison analysis of competitors vehicles specifications.
• Should have involved in weight / cost reduction opportunities through VAVE Analysis
• Support and tie up with Proto type development and vehicle testing team for durability and performance testing for pre-series/pilot batch vehicles
• Should have knowledge of component level & vehicle level validation activities.
• Proactively resolve concern/issues occurred during the validation/production/coming under warranty.
• Interact and conduct technical reviews with head, suppliers and other CFT team members for developing integral solutions.
