The candidate will prepare, cook, and present various dishes, ensuring quality, taste, and safe food handling while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year of cooking experience and a relevant certificate/diploma.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment.
• Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred/required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to standard recipes and quality requirements.
• Ensure proper taste, quality, portion size, and presentation of food.
• Perform food preparation activities including cutting, chopping, marinating, seasoning, and cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Assist with inventory management, proper storage, and stock rotation of food ingredients.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of orders.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow instructions from the Chef/Supervisor and support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
