Job summary

UBS is seeking a Test professional to join the Control testing team in Mumbai. The role covers preparing testing workpapers, executing tests, and documenting results with evidence secured for potential audits.

You will develop test scripts for each control and collaborate with the 1LOD Test Lead, using tools like Tableau, Alteryx, and Excel to identify trends and enhance the control environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years related work experience.
• Understanding of Consumer banking processes in a risk management context.
• Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with 1LOD Test Lead to prepare testing workpapers.
• Executes testing including sampling, design, and operating effectiveness.
• Documents and informs Test Lead of control testing results.
• All documentation evidencing the work performed by the tester to be retained as evidence in a secured central location (with consideration of data confidentiality), to facilitate responses to potential future audits or reviews. Workpapers and supporting evidence should not be stored on a personal drive.
• The documentation must be sufficient for a third party to review the work and understand conclusions, facilitating potential reperformance of the work
• For each control, the Tester is required to produce a test script to examine the key design elements and operation of the control, as applicable to the test objective. This document is retained as evidence to show that the tester understood the risk the control aims to address and that the assessment considered all required criteria and risk parameters for the tester to reach their conclusion.

Your Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years related work experience
• Understanding of Consumer banking processes in a risk management context are required
• Working knowledge of deposits consumer compliance regulations
• Exposure to qualitative and quantitative controls across financial products.
• Strong analytical orientation, lateral thinking, organizational, influencing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform data analytics using metrics to identify trends and themes leverage tools e.g. Alteryx, business objects, snowflake, advanced excel etc.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas with different levels of stakeholders
• Innovative, including a keen eye for identifying areas of control enhancements
• Good influencing skills to challenge the status quo and enhance the control environment
• Sound time management skills to be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
• A mentor / coach to the juniors in the team
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills to develop strong stakeholder relationships
• The ability to present with impact and build consensus across senior stakeholder groups
• Track record of delivering and enhancing measurable, impactful business outcomes
• CRCM and CIA or equivalent professional certifications preferred
• Experience with Tableau or other reporting/ data analytics tools
