Job summary

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited in Bangalore seeks an experienced Validation & Test Automation Engineer to contribute as a Control Software Test Engineer for Battery Energy Storage System programs. The role involves developing test specifications, automating test execution, and validating control software across SIL, HIL, and embedded environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in software validation and test automation.
• Strong experience in Python-based test automation using PyTest.
• Hands-on experience in HIL/SIL testing and embedded software validation.
• Experience in control algorithm testing and model-based development environments.
• Understanding of real-time systems and industrial communication protocols.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve validation efficiency and test coverage.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Validation & Test Automation Engineer who will contribute as a Control Software Test Engineer for our customer’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) programs. The role involves developing test specifications, automating test execution, and validating control software across SIL, HIL, and embedded environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop test specifications, test plans, and validation strategies for BESS control software.

Using Python (pytest) frameworks,validate control algorithms and embedded software developed using MATLAB/Simulink and C++.

Design, automate, and execute SIL and HIL test cases using Python (PyTest).

Configure and operate HIL platforms such as dSPACE, NI, Vector, or OPAL-RT.

Qualifications

Education

Experience

6 to 10 years of experience in software validation and test automation.

Strong experience in Python-based test automation using PyTest.

Hands-on experience in HIL/SIL testing and embedded software validation.

Experience in control algorithm testing and model-based development environments.

Understanding of real-time systems and industrial communication protocols.

Mandatory Skills

Hands-on knowledge of Linux systems, Docker containers

Agile way of working with global teams

Hands-on experience working with CI-CD pipelines, Github, Confluence, JIRA

Knowledge of BESS domain

Effectively use AI tools to accelerate validation

Preferred Skills

Performance and scalability testing of control software

Ansible-based deployment basics

ISTQB Advanced Certification
