Job summary

Hitachi Energy Technology Services Private Limited in Chennai seeks an experienced Electrical Protection Engineer to design HVDC protection logics and coordinate protection schemes on global projects. The role demands 6+ years in control and protection systems and familiarity with PSCAD/MATLAB.

Strong knowledge of IEEE/IEC standards and substation environments is required, with preference for tender support experience and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics with 6+ years of experience in control and protection systems.

• Design HVDC Protection Logics and Algorithms for HVDC Protects across the globe.
• Develop Protection Functions / Solutions for HVDC Project.

• Support projects in resolving the issues related to Control and Protection Functions.

Your background:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronics with a minimum work experience of 6+ years in Control and Protection system.
• You should have knowledge in PSCAD, MATLAB, or any other Simulation Software.
• You must have basic knowledge on IEEE / IEC standards.
• You should have experience in substation environment and protection application.
• Experience in technical tender support or bidding is preferrable.
• Experience in substation environment and protection application is an added advantage.
• Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
