Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to manage procurement and contractual activities for the Solar Business. The role will be responsible for contract drafting, review, negotiation, compliance, risk management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including legal advisors.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in procurement and contracts within the IPP, Solar EPC, or module manufacturing industry , with a good understanding of FIDIC and commercial contracting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee procurement processes for solar projects.
- Draft and review contracts, term sheets, and framework agreements for Solar EPC, module supply, and development contracts .
- Review and negotiate commercial and contractual terms and conditions.
- Prepare, edit, and maintain contractual documentation.
- Support the team in identifying, rectifying, and managing contract breaches.
- Draft and process amendments to existing contracts.
- Ensure contractual terms comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Apply a strong understanding of FIDIC and project contracting principles.
- Conduct detailed research and ensure appropriate project risks are identified and addressed in contracts.
- Coordinate with legal advisors and external lawyers on contractual matters.
- Ensure contracts are clear, commercially appropriate, and legally binding.
- Support internal stakeholders on contractual and procurement-related matters.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of contracts and procurement activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Contract Specialist, or similar role in an IPP, leading EPC company, or module manufacturing organization.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and contractual procedures.
- Good knowledge of legal procedures, contractual guidelines, and terminology.
- Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts .
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify contractual risks.
- Ability to conduct in-depth research and analyze complex contractual matters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.li>
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Educational Qualifications
- Full-time Bachelor's degree in Engineering , preferably Electrical or Mechanical, from a reputed institute.
- LLB qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Approximately 12 years of relevant experience in procurement and contracts , preferably with a module manufacturing company, Solar EPC, or IPP .
- Experience in solar project procurement, module supply contracts, EPC contracts, and commercial negotiations will be preferred.
