Job summary

Placewell Solutions is seeking a Contract Manager with experience in EHV substations to lead contracting activities and drive procurement for major projects.

You will coordinate with suppliers and project teams to ensure timely execution, cost control, and compliance with IMS standards. The role emphasizes reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives across pan-India sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management and project procurement.
• Exposure to EHV substation projects is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder liaison and vendor management skills.
• Proven ability to prepare MIS, dashboards and project reports.
• Understanding of budgeting, cost control and IMS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Contract Administration and Management for EHV substations including sourcing and selection of sub-contractors based on project requirements.
• Drive project reporting, analytics and MIS to monitor progress and report to senior management.
• Liaise with suppliers, sub-contractors and project teams to ensure timely execution and long-term relations.
• Manage costs and negotiate/ finalize purchase orders based on target cost; monitor budgets.
• Support Kaizen, Business Excellence and IMS compliance initiatives within projects.

Role & responsibilities

1.Contract Administration and Management- Sourcing and selection of sub-contractors based on project requirements for EHV Substations. Conduct technical discussions with all contractors to explain projects requirements.

2. Reporting and Analytics Drive Project Management process and robust review system for monitoring the project progress. Report progress to Senior management on a regular basis post systematic review of all Project Sites PAN India. Understand manpower trends and conduct GAP analysis to meet project deadlines. Preparing MIS, Project reports, Dashboards etc. for effective monitoring and control of all projects.

3. Stakeholder Management– Closely liaison with Suppliers, Sub-contractors and Project teams for timely execution of works. Ensuring retention of Sub-contractors for long term business relations. Closely Coordinate with Estimation, Marketing, Finance, Purchase, Planning and Logistics team for day-to-day issues related to sub-contractors.

4. Budgeting and Cost Management– Manage costs effectively and achieve project operation costs below the plan. Negotiation and finalization of Purchase Orders based on target cost. Benchmark key processes and initiate improvements.

5. Organizational Initiatives- Active participation to achieve defined targets of Kaizen, Business Excellence and IMS. Ensuring statutory compliances are managed as per defined guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates should be experience in Contract Manager and EHV Substation Project
