The role partners closely with senior Technology and Finance leadership to optimise technology investments and support strategic decision-making across a complex and evolving technology landscape. The individual will have a strong understanding of technology and infrastructure services, including the underlying technologies, licensing models, commercial constructs and supplier landscape. They will lead complex RFI/RFP processes and identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers, simplify the technology estate and improve commercial leverage.

Key responsibilities:

Act as the commercial subject matter expert across infrastructure and technology sourcing activities. Develop and execute commercial strategies for the CTO's technology and infrastructure portfolio. Develop a strong understanding of the organisation's infrastructure estate, technologies, services, suppliers and associated commercial models. Translate technical and business requirements into effective commercial and contractual structures. Identify opportunities to improve value, reduce cost, manage risk and increase commercial flexibility. Develop and maintain a view of technology market trends, supplier capabilities, commercial models and emerging sourcing opportunities. Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, rationalisation and strategic sourcing across the infrastructure estate.

Lead and manage complex RFI, RFP and competitive sourcing exercises across technology and infrastructure. Work closely with architecture, engineering, security, service management, finance, procurement and other stakeholders to define requirements. Develop sourcing strategies, evaluation criteria, commercial models and supplier evaluation frameworks. Produce and manage RFI/RFP documentation and associated commercial schedules. Lead supplier clarification, negotiation and commercial evaluation activities. Analyse supplier proposals from both a technical/commercial and financial perspective. Develop business cases and commercial recommendations for CTO leadership and relevant governance forums. Ensure sourcing exercises deliver appropriate value, flexibility, scalability and contractual protection.

Lead the development, review and negotiation of technology and infrastructure contracts. Draft and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Descriptions, pricing schedules, service schedules, licensing schedules, implementation schedules and other contractual schedules.
